Paid Dues Festival Adds Living Legends, Kendrick Lamar, Dilated Peoples + More
About 15 minutes ago Murs annouced additions to the 2012 Paid Dues Festival in San Bernardino, CA. Up to this point, it was only Wu-Tang Clan and Odd Future. Murs' crew Living Legends will be rocking, as well as Kendrick Lamar legendary West Coast acts Hieroglyphics, DJ Quik, Psycho Realm, and Dilated Peoples. Dipset, whom will be performing for their first time in California is also confirmed. Up and comer Kendrick Lamar will be rocking a dope set, which I am very pleased to hear.
There will still be about 30 more artists, which will fill 3 stages throughout a 12 hour day of Hiphop. This is what a festival is supposed to be. Paid Dues started off as pretty much an "underground" Hiphop festival. However, over the past 3 years, Murs has been much more open minded to including more commercially successful, yet still independent artists.
I've been waiting for DJ Quik to play a Guerilla Union show. It's long overdue. Quik's performances never dissapoint. I'm happy with the rest of the lineup as well. I'm not much of a Dipset fan, and I expect hardcore PD fans to shit on that selection. But hey, that's why there is 3 stages.
