New Music: Besatree & K_Serious

One part Besatree + one part K_Serious make up a full recipe of DIY, do-it-yourself grinding. These guys got their feet to the pavement, cameras on record, and rhymes on the mic...all the time. Besatree also known as Jon May has roots in graphic design. He is the sole designer for all artwork, web design, and print they produce. K_Serious, Kevin Allen Bicknell, has a background in film having attended school in the bay area. Both now reside in the Inland Empire area still on their hip hop grind with shows coming up, one in particular is a spot on the 2011 Soulstyce Fest line-up. See the flyer below.

Besatree was, "[t]uned in to music from an early age, [he] has tastes spanning the board. Raised and presently residing in Southern California, in his early teens, a fall into the hardcore/crust/thrash scene soon became a headfirst dive that would become a love for music and sounds. Coming up in this area taught him the value of DIY music making and promotions, causing him to develop a love for all aspects of the musical process from the actual writing and performing of the songs to designing his own album artwork and flyers." via- Besatree Facebook

K_Serious was, "[r]aised on punk rock. Grew up in folk shops. Earned some film school docs. Now writes, spits and lives hip hop. Besatree and Kserious are always ready and willing to play your shows, house parties and any other events that are cooking!" via- K_Serious facebook

There newest release is titled, "Hello, goodbye and all the jazz". Check out the rest of their work at www.besatree.com

New Music: Marion Write - The Sunlight (prod. by SB)

"Marion Write takes a step back to remember the terror that happened 10 years ago. In a 1st person perspective of the choice at hand made by hundreds of people who were trapped above the impact zone. 'Tribute songs aren’t really my forte, but this song is more of remembrance made for those who had to make that final decision on that day. Would you be able to decide?' says Marion. This song, produced by SB, will not appear on any upcoming projects but Illustrated Example will set to release January 2012. Stay tuned for more details and enjoy the song." via - Flo Deep Music

Reflect: 9/11

10 years ago the United States was working towards recovery from the worst national tragedy since Pearl Harbor.

On that same unfortunate day artist Jay-Z released his latest album titled, "The Blueprint".

The album and 9/11 hold one thing in common, they mark a shift in the mindset of American's and hip hop. In light of the memories of today, take the time to reflect about the impact and significance you have on those around you and the world you live in.
