Michael Jordan Approved As Majority Owner of Charlotte Bobcats
As expected, Michael Jordan was announced as the majority owner of the Charlotte Bobcats. Jordan's $275 million purchase of the club from Bob Johnson was approved by the rest of the league's owners yesterday. Johnson was the first black majority owner in the NBA. Now Jordan is the second as well as the first former player to outright own a team. He called it a dream come true. The Bobcats have been in existence for 6 years and are having their best season yet. They're in good contention to make the playoffs and have a good coach in Larry Brown. However, there is still a long way to go, but Jordan is up for the task. Props to MJ and good luck!
