Gilbert Arenas & Javaris Crittenton Suspended Remainder of NBA Season

Due to the bad decisions made by Washington Wizard guards Gilbert Arenas and Javaris Crittenton, they have both been suspended by the NBA without pay for the remainder of the NBA season. This decision was made by comissioner David Stern, and it comes in the wake of Arenas and Crittenton both bringing unlicensed guns into the Wizards locker room and drawing them on each other. The dispute was over a gambling debt.

Now the guns were unloaded, however, just the fact that they would be stupid enough to do so justifies this punishment to me. Arenas is facing up to six months in jail after pleading guilty to carrying a pistol in Washington, D.C., without a license. Sentencing is March 26.

The Wizards could try to void Arenas' contract if he goes to jail. He was making $16 million this season and has four seasons left at $80 million. With this suspension, Arenas will lose over $ 7 million this year.

Crittenton was sentenced to one year of unsupervised probation and community service after pleading guilty to a misdemeanor gun charge.
