Video: King of Content Presents: "Rolling With EPMD" Short Documentary

This is a very well put together documentary on the career of EPMD. It was directed by King of Content. They spent a day with the group at one of their concerts. It's split up into two parts.  Busta Rhymes,Onyx, Master Ace, Ed Og, Dougie Fresh, Ghostface Killah and Raekwon also make guest apperences during the documentary. Peep it!

Texas Tech Coach Mike Leach Fired For Player Mistreatment

 Two days after being suspended, Texas Tech head football coach Mike Leach was fired due to his alleged mistreatment of wide receiver Adam James. Apparently James suffered a concussion, and alleges that twice Leach confined him to small, dark spaces while the team practiced. Those spots were an equipment shed and an electrical closet. Now that's some torture ish right there! Earlier this year, he had just signed a 5 year, $12.7 million deal. With this firing though, his contract could be voided due to the circumstances.  He was owed an $800,0 Leach denies all allegations and is expected to dispute the claim in court. Mike Leach had a very successful coaching career for 10 years at Texas Tech.

If you're not aware of what it is, bascially Skillz speaks on the biggest stories of the year, so of course this one references the death of Michael Jackson, Chris Brown, Tiger Woods, Obama, and much more. Music Video: Double Dosage- Golden State of Mind feat. Queen Dree

Los Angeles duo Double Dosage decided to make their own version of Jay-Z's Empire State of Mind entitled Golden State of Mind, which is a tribute to LA. Now I'm not surprised in the least to hear this joint. I'd imagine some other cats have done an LA version as well.

The rhymes are on point, but I wish they would rap it their own way instead of just like Jay. And Queen Dree sounds like she just started trying to sing. All in all, nice effort though. These cats are reppin' hard for all the Filipinos out there yo. I'm not really a big fan of this type of thing, but it's all good...cuz I rep LA all day! Pau Gasol Signs 3 Year Contract Extension with Lakers

 Los Angeles Lakers starting power forward Pau Gasol has come into agreement with the team to extend his contract for another 3 years worth around $57 million. He still had two years left on his current deal. So now Gasol is signed through the 2013-2014 NBA season. I truly believe that Gasol is the most skilled big man in the game. And with this signing, the Lakers have the potential to win many more championships in the coming years, as long as there are no major injuries.

P.O.S. To Hit the road throughout February and March on the "Every Never is Now" Tour

Coming off a very dope album, Never Better, released early this year, Rhymesayers MC, P.O.S., will be traveling to a US city near you starting February 2, 2010 through March 21, 2010 on the "Every Never Is Now" Tour. The first half of the tour will be with Grieves and Dessa. The 2nd half features Astronautalis and Dessa. For my LA heads, the tour will be at the Troubador in Hollywood on February 19 and at the Glasshouse in Pomona on February 21. Check the latest Christmas themed clips with Santa being voiced by KRS 1 and Blitzen going head up with him, who gets Lupe Fiasco to contribute to his persona. I'd imagine sometime in the middle of the Christmas game between the Lakers and the Cavs, there will be a follow-up commercial, because the Blitzen one sets it up for a full on head to head battle between Santa and the Reindeer. Beat Swap Meet Going Down Today!

The Beat Swap Meet goes down every 3 months at the Grand Star Jazz Club. It's always a dope affair where you can buy, sell, and trade records. There are over 60 record, clothing, and art vendors. But the records are the main focus of the event. The venue has 2 levels of all record vendors. Outside is the vendor village of clothing and art, which is dubbed No Corporate Christmas.

Over 20 DJs will spin throughout the day on all vinyl. Serato is not allowed. On the first floor of the venue, all DJs will spin 45 inch records.

From my experience, this is always one of the illest spots to get a lot of networking on. There are so many heads that are doing big things up there. So come on down today from 12-6pm. All ages are welcome and it's free with a canned good!
