Crooked I gets tattoo, but artist spells it wrong!

Crooked I recently got a brand new tattoo. In honor of his crew, Slaughterhouse, he decided to get a tattoo. However, the artist spelled it SLAUGTERHOUSE! There is an H missing! Damn, that's a cold one. I know when you get a tattoo, normally they draw it out on you first before inking it. So, I'm not sure if that was done, and Crooked just didn't notice, but word, that's just too funny! If you enlarge the picture above, you can see the mistake.

Wow, what the hell were this boy's parents doing when this kid decided to take the car out for a joy ride. It captures with joy and anger the spirit of resistance at a time when the majority of Americans felt disenfranchised from a country and a leader who didn't stand for them.

The entire movie is broken up in 9 parts on Youtube. Check out Ruspoli's blog to get direct access to all parts. I've yet to watch the movie, but I hear that it's pretty dope. I will be watching it shortly.

Shaq guest hosts on WWE Raw

Shaq made an appearance on WWE Raw last night as guest host and guest referee. He verbally squared off with Chris Jericho and went toe to toe in a double choke hold with The Big Show. He was helped by Cryme Tyme to take The Big Show out. I'm not surprised about this. Shaq is everywhere these days yo. He's become more than just a NBA player. He is a full fledged entertainer. Michael Vick reinstated to NFL, but with restrictions

Former Atlanta Falcons quarterback Michael Vick has officially been reinstated to the NFL by comissioner Roger Godell. However, it comes with some restrictions. Vick is allowed to join any NFL team, practice with them, and also play in pre-season. But he will not be allowed to play until week 6, unless the comissioner sees it fit that he return sooner. Godell has called on Tony Dungy to be Vick's mentor in his comeback process.

As of right now, no teams have expressed interest in acquiring Michael Vick. If there is a team that ends up doing so, then they'd better be ready for a circus. The one team that keeps coming to my mind is the Oakland Raiders. I could see them picking Vick up and doing something crazy like putting him at receiver. He definitely won't be a starting quarterback wherever he goes. He will definitely have to prove himself to get back to that point.

I feel that the restrictions on Vick are a bit much, considering he did his jail time, and will still be on several years of probation. But I'm hoping that he can eventually get back to being a productive player. Only time will tell though.

DJ Jazzy Jeff DJ Hero Interview

It's sick as hell that DJ Jazzy Jeff is actually a character in the upcoming DJ Hero game! Jeff will contribute two of his own personal mixes, which are Tears for Fears "Shout" vs. Eric B. & Rakim's "Eric B. Is President" and LL Cool J's "Rock the Bells" vs. The Aranbee Pop Symphony Orchestra's "Bittersweet Symphony." Also featured is the legendary Grandmaster Flash! There is no word on any of the other characters, but that would be sick if they were all real DJs that we knew. Check out the Jeff's interview below!

Guilty Simpson and Madlib (Otis Jackson) will be collaborating on an album, using the moniker OJ Simpson. Now that name will definitely catch people's attention. Surely some heads may see the title and think, "What! OJ Simpson's got an album??" But word, this should be an ill project. Madlib is one of the illest on the beats and Guilty can definitely come with the rhymes. The album boasts 14 bangin tracks with guest appearances by Elzhi and Strong Arm Steady. Jay-Z to replace Beastie Boys at All Points West

Man, when I saw the lineup for the All Points West Festival in New Jersey, I really wanted to go bad! Well, I still do despite the Beasties not being able to attend. It takes place from July 31-August 2nd. Jay-Z has been deemed the replacement act to take the Friday night headlining spot left vacant by the Beastie Boys. There's so many sick acts playing there. I can't believe that Organized Konfusion is rocking! This lineup overall is sicker than Coachella this year. Well, I won't be able to make it out there, but maybe next year.

Shaq is back with another reality tv show

Two years ago Shaquille O'Neal had a reality tv show on ABC called Shaq's Big Challenge, in which he helped overweight kids get in better shape. Now this time around, ABC will be showing "Shaq Vs.", in which he will go up against other highly successful athletes in their respected sports. He will be playing tennis against Serena Williams, football versus Ben Roethlesberger, swim against Michael Phelps, compete against Kerri Walsh and Misty May-Treanor in beach volleyball and box Oscar de la Hoya.

O'Neal stated, "These athletes may be on top of their game, but I am up for the challenge. I plan to train hard and win, so look out." Each episode will be one hour. The series will premiere August 18.

Beastie Boys' MCA diagnosed with cancer, tour cancelled

Adam Yauch aka MCA of the Beastie Boys has been diagnosed with cancer. He had been feeling a lump in his throat. Upon getting it checked out, doctors found a cancerous lymph node in Yauch's left parotid (salivary) gland in his neck. Due to this issue, the Beasties have to cancel all upcoming shows as well as delay the release of their latest album, "Hot Sauce Committee Part I."

I was definitely looking forward to seeing the Beasties out here in September. They put on a hell of a show, however, it's all about MCA getting better as soon as possible. The cancer was discovered early and he is expected to make a full recovery. Get better soon homey! Check the video below of Adam's announcement of his condition.

I'm glad that I was able to see Big Pun rock the mic. Back around 97 Pun came to LA to rip a Unity show. At the times, those were the shows to be at (RIP Bigga B). Along with Pun on that bill was Goodie Mob and Killah Priest. The opener was a pre-signed Eminem. But word, Pun was ill. This looks to be a promising documentary. I can't wait to peep it. It was directed by Vlad Yudin. It drops September 15.

Antoine Walker arrested for gambling debts

Former NBA all-star Antoine Walker has been arrested on criminal charges stemming from $822,500 in gambling debts in Las Vegas. Apparently Walker took out ten huge loans from several casinos, all around $100,000 each, most of which has not been paid back.

He is facing 3 felony counts of writing bad checks. It's apparent that Walker is addicted to gambling, getting this deep in a hole. In his NBA career, he made over $99 million! That's insane to make that much money and to not be able to pay back the amount borrowed.

Walker was actually in the process of gambling @ the Harrah's casino upon being arrested. I hope Walker seeks help for this problem, as well as given a fair trial.

Yao Ming more than likely out for entire 2009-10 season

Yao Ming has opted to have surgery on the left foot that he broke in the playoffs during the Rockets 2nd round series with the Lakers. He has broken his left foot 3 times during his career. This is a huge blow to the Houston Rockets. They are for sure to be a bottom feeder in the NBA next year. It doesn't help that Tracy McGrady can never stay healthy, and that Ron Artest is now gone. They picked up Trevor Ariza, but I don't see him blossoming into a star. He is a good role player. The Rockets are expected to receive an injury exception, where they would be able to sign a player for the equivalent of the midlevel exception, valued around 5.6 mil a year. However, that's not enough to get someone to replace a Yao Ming.

Richard Jefferson Calls of Wedding Via E-mail

Wow, Richard Jefferson is a straight up fool for this one. It's one thing if you got cold feet and you realize that it's not time to get married after all, but to do it through e-mail is just a trip. He'd been in 5 year relationship with former New Jersey Net dancer Kesha Ni'Cole Nichols. They were set to marry July 11, but the recently acquired San Antonio Spur decided to call it off the day before. It was to be a $2 million wedding in Manhattan at the Mandarin Oriental in Columbus Circle. Nichols told all of her people that it wasn't going down, but apparently all of Jefferson's heads weren't in the know, and showed up for the ceremony. One of Jefferson's boys stated that he gave his black Amex to his best friend for the night, which they greatly took advantage of using for their troubles. Word is that Nichols kind of saw it coming, so she was not completely taken off guard, though obviously hurt. Jefferson has stated that he will be giving her a six-figure settlement to "start a new life." I guess she'll be aight after all. Word!

Former Boxing Champ Arturo Gatti Found Dead

37 year old former junior welterweight boxing champ Arturo Gatti was found dead in a Brazilian hotel. He was apparently murdered due to strangulation. There was a purse found with blood one the strap, which is believed to be the murderer's weapon of choice. Gstti's wife, Amanda Rodrigues is being held as the lead suspect in the case. Her interrogation stories changed and it is documented that the marriage was not going so well.

Gatti, though not a great, was a hell of a fighter. He won the welterweight championship twice in his career. Gatti always fought with much heart. This is just crazy to hear, right after Steve McNair's girl popped him yo.

LeBron James Shows Immaturity Once Again

So earlier this week, LeBron James hosted a camp called the LeBron James Skills Academy. In the process of playing a pickup game, King James got dunked on by college basketball player, Jordan Crawford. So what! Just about everyone that's played basketball at a high level has been dunked on. However, LeBron made it a bigger issue than it needed to be by having the tape of his posterizing confiscated by Lynn Merritt, senior director of Nike basketball. The videographer was told that he had permission to record, but when the tapes were confiscated they flipped the policy.

Jordan Crawford seemed not to make a big deal of it. He's been getting a lot of pub due to the incident and has handled himself very maturely. LeBron, just as how he handled the playoff loss to Orlando, has shown a lack of maturity.

When Texting Goes Wrong..Girl Falls Down Manhole

So this girl Alexa fell straight down an open manhole while texting. There is no law against texting while walking, which of course would be ridiculous, but you've got to watch where you're going. She just as easily could have walked into a pole or gotten hit by a car backing out of a driveway. However, it was definitely negligent of the city workers to not have the manhole surrounded by cones prior to opening it. I bet she won't be so engrossed in her text messaging now though. MJ Memorial Tickets

I was one of the 1.6 million people that registered online for tickets to the Michael Jackson memorial service taking place tomorrow at 9:30 am PST. However, my name was not chosen. But today my aunt called me telling me that she had two tickets that she could not use due to other obligations. I really wanted to go, so it was dope to have her offer them to me. I've been working on the set of Ironman 2 though, and am scheduled for tomorrow at 6am. So as much as it hurted to do so, I had to decline the tickets to the service. If I were to cancel my taking part in tomorrow's shoot, it could jeopardize my standing with Central Casting, so I made the wiser decision. Seeing MJ off live would have been dope, but I gotta be about my money on this one.

R.I.P. Steve McNair

3 time NFL Pro Bowl quarterback Steve McNair was found dead today in a Tennessee apartment. He was the victim of gunshot wounds. There was also a female that was pronounced dead due to gunshots. Steve "Air" McNair was one of my favorite players. He retired in 2007 after playing 13 seasons in the league; 11 with the Tennessee Titans and 2 with the Baltimore Ravens. McNair was a true leader and of the NFL's most charismatic ambassadors. S

Tickets to MJ Memorial @ Staples Center to be selected randomly

A press conference was held in LA today to announce how tickets to Michael Jackson's memorial would be distributed. You must register at staplescenter.com. From there, 8,750 names will randomly be drawn. Those people will be entitled to two tickets. Seating will be in the Staples Center, and overflow in Nokia Theater. The city is not going to allow anyone on the streets surrounding the area, and there will be no exterior broadcast. However, it will be broadcast on all network television channels and stream online. The selected names will be notified on Sunday, and will have to go to a ticketmaster location to pickup the tickets. I've got my name registered. Wish me luck!

Artest joins Lakers..Ariza takes his place with Rockets

Ron Ron is now a Laker! He signed for 3 years, $18 million. It sucks to lose Trevor Ariza. He was a huuge part of our championship run, and will definitely be missed. At the Laker parade, he got the 2nd most love after Kobe. However, Ron Artest is an upgrade! I wanted to get Ron Ron last season before he went to Houston. Madd heads are nervous about him flipping out, but I don't see that happening. He hasn't been a distraction in quite some time, and is thirsty for a ring. Kobe and Phil will make sure that Ron doesn't get too caught up in the Hollywood lifestyle.

So since Artest went to the Lake Show, Trevor has agreed to take his place and sign with Houston. Trevor was greedy and his agent screwed things up for him. Now he's with a Rockets team that is going nowhere.

I'm just glad that Cleveland got neither Ron Ron or Ariza!
